Smaller of the two locks into the basin at Saint Malo, it was converted into a dry dock when the Gare Maritime de la Borse was built over the dry dock then in use. Nowdays with no Emeraude vessels or large fishing vessels based in the ports, the facility sees little or any use. 0437w 237k

GARE MARITIME DE LA BORSE
The Gare Maritime De La Borse was built in 1982 at a time when there were in the
region of 12 high speed passenger craft operating to the Channel Islands. With the
introduction of the car ferry this trade declined, and the facility is now used only
as a terminal for cruise ship passengers; and the pontoons as lay-

ETOILE DU ROY now spends her summers open to the public in the Bassin Daguay Trouin. The vessel was built as GRAND TURK in Marmaris, Turkey for film work in 1997, before being sold in December 2009 and renamed in May 2010. 0443w 218k
